Practical Mold & Lead Remediation
This course provides practical training in identifying and correcting mold and lead-based paint hazards in apartment homes. Designed for entry-level or assistant maintenance personnel, the class focuses on safe, effective remediation that meets EPA and HUD guidelines.
After a review of safety, PPE, and required regulations, we will cover:

Identifying mold, moisture sources, and lead-based paint hazards

Setting up proper containment to prevent cross-contamination

Performing hands-on mold remediation and paint stabilization

Using lead-safe work practices during repairs

HEPA cleaning and final verification steps
