Leadership Lyceum, AAA’s premier leadership development initiative, is dedicated to cultivating high-potential leaders in the multifamily housing industry. The curriculum deepens participants’ understanding of the Association, enhances strategic thinking, and builds leadership capabilities to empower graduates to positively impact the industry and champion AAA’s vision.

Cognitive Equity workshop with outside facilitator VICTORIA VERLEZZA, PH.D
This forward-thinking session introduces the Cognitive Equity Leadership Model™, which reimagines leadership through the lens of cognitive equity, valuing every way of thinking, processing, and creating.
Designed for property management professionals navigating diverse teams, this session helps leaders:
● Recognize bias in definitions of “professionalism.”
● Flex systems and expectations for different work styles.
● Lead through uncertainty with empathy, curiosity, and clarity.
Participants will:
● Understand the concept of cognitive equity and its impact on team performance.
● Explore the three pillars: Awareness, Access, and Adaptability.
● Reflect on their leadership approach through a short self-assessment.
● Leave equipped to design processes that support every kind of thinker.
This session will include lunch.
Since Leadership Lyceum is offered free of charge for participants, the sessions are not eligible for continuing education credit towards NAAEI credentials.
