The benefits of membership are far reaching, and vary from company to company. However, our industry's primary needs are paramount to us and we believe in these:
With 400 companies that own or manage over 330,000 apartment homes in the Metro Atlanta area, we are the voice for the multifamily industry in Atlanta. Our legislative team has a strong presence at the local, state and national level, and our education classes are some of the best in the industry and have been nationally recognized.
Our Associate/Supplier members represent over 1200 companies that specialize in doing business with the apartment industry, and by joining our organization have shown a commitment to our members and our efforts.
See what one of our Owner/Manager members says about the power of AAA membership & involvement:
"I was almost totally uninvolved in AAA until about ten years ago when I was asked to serve on the Board of Directors. It was a gracious offer, particularly because I had done virtually nothing to assist AAA. Since then, my eyes have been opened to the powerful, positive effect that AAA exerts in the Atlanta community on behalf of our industry and the selfless camaraderie that its members cultivate and sustain. Until I started to pull my weight a little on various committees over the recent past, I felt embarrassed for not having contributed time and energy to AAA before then, particularly after I discovered the significant commitments that so many others have made to the goals of AAA."
Phil Tague 2006 AAA President Chairman, Executive VP, CEO, AMLI Residential
How can more than 1200 suppliers to the Atlanta apartment industry be wrong? By becoming a member of the AAA, you put yourself in the organization that represents over 88% of the multifamily industry in Atlanta, and in front of those who have the purchasing power for the industry.
Only through your membership in the Atlanta Apartment Association will you be able to attend industry meetings where you will meet representatives from some of the biggest names in the apartment business. You will also receive our HABITAT magazine where you will learn about the trends in the industry, and only members of the AAA can advertise. Our membership directory is used more than any other source by many of our members when looking for a product or service for their company. ONLY members are listed in the directory, and only members can advertise!
Many of our Associate Members are our best advertisement, see what they say below about their decision to become an AAA member:
"I am happy to give of my time and resources to AAA because, unlike many Associations, this one yields a return on investment. As a company, the Association has enabled my company to strengthen existing business relationships while forging new ones through the many networking opportunities available to all members. Information is power, and my membership in AAA has been the key to me being able to better serve my customer base as the Association keeps me informed about market trends and conditions that affect our industry."
Dana Hill Publisher, For Rent Media Solutions
“Joining the Atlanta Apartment Association was a very smart business move and one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my business. I have been afforded the opportunity to meet and network with the upper echelon of the multi-family industry as well as forge relationships that I am grateful for in and out of business."
Brian Sutherlin Owner, Sutherlin's Pressure and Cleaning

The best way to make the most of your membership is to become involved. If you are a first time volunteer, the Membership Committee is the training ground for future service in other committees. If you are interested in participating on the Membership Committee, which forms each fall for service January-April, please e-mail the membership department by clicking here, or download and complete the form at the bottom of this page and return it to the AAA office.
The Membership Committee is the largest committee. An Association's lifeblood is in it's members, and recruitment of new members is tantamount in building an association. Equally important is membership retention, and the committee is responsible for helping our members realize the value of their membership. The Committee meets January through April.
Here is a list of our other committees (involvement on these committees requires previous service on the membership committee):
The Community Service Committee is the driving force behind our hugely successful Food-A-Thon, benefitting the Atlanta Community Food Bank. The Committee meets year round.
The Golf Classic Committee is responsible for organizing the Association's annual golf tournament, which is our largest PAC fundraiser. The Committee meets between December and May.
The GAC is charged with helping our legislative staff identify legislation that could adversely affect the multifamily housing industry. The committee is also instrumental in helping to organize our Grassroots Army of volunteers and responding to issues that require a letter writing campaign. The Committee meets year round.
The Tennis Committee is responsible for the Association's annual tennis tournament that is our second largest PAC fundraiser. The Committee is responsible for coming up with new ideas to raise additional funds, and to encourage sponsor & player involvement. The Committee meets between June and November.
The Trade Show Committee helps organize one of the multihousing industry's largest trade shows. The Committee is responsible for selling booth space, encouraging attendance and coming up with a theme for the show. The Committee meets year round.
The 2016 Can Can Ball Committee is looking for volunteers! If you're interested please contact Eric Coyer or Karen Nelson
